Welcome to the Theater Pages on the FAPA Website

Students at Wilton High School have the opportunity to participate in theatre productions throughout the school year. Whether onstage or backstage, students are able to be involved in theatre through performance, technical and artistic positions. The high school theatre department endeavors to produce high quality performances with an emphasis on education and teaching throughout the audition and rehearsal processes. Performances are entirely student run including all crew positions. 

The WHS theatre department produces four mainstage performances a year including:

• Fall Play

Past performances include: The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter & The Starcatcher and All in the Timing.

• Improvisational Comedy: ComedySportz

Through a series of improvisational games students learn a different skill set from traditional theater. Rehearsals culminate in performances of rehearsed games on teams where they battle for laughs.

• Senior Show

A longstanding tradition at Wilton High School, the Senior Show is an original production that is written and performed by the senior class. 

• Spring Musical

Past performances include: The Addams Family, Mary Poppins, Legally Blonde and Working.

Additionally, students have the option to join the Little Theatre Club. The LTC is a student run club used as an introductory and social club for all students interested in theatre. Within the school day curriculum Theatre Arts is also offered. Theatre Arts is taught by one of the theatre department directors, Kevin Slater. 

Currently, Wilton High School is the only WPS school with a formal theatre department and facilities. For students in the lower and middle schools there are several performing arts organizations in Wilton that offer classes, private lessons and performance opportunities year round.
